She is an elastic and ideal figure that springs from experiences in my own hectic everyday life , where self-employment and paid work, children, partner, family, and countless other joys and obligations necessitate that I constantly stretch a little further, achieve more, be more. Mother Avatar is the notion of a desirable and figurative extension of myself that magically enables me to be and do all that is expected of me, as a mother, an artist, a provider, even when I sleep."

Trine Bork is interested in an almost ethereal presence of the painted surface, whether through the application of her material or the shaping of her subjects.

The starting point for Trine's paintings can be a personal narrative or just every day observations, which she explores through very simple motifs with light and tender brush strokes. She aims to have a minimalist, semi-transparent feel in her paintings which she finds best captures the experience of time as something fleeting and ungraspable.
