Poppykalas is a creative studio in Copenhagen established by Thilde Maria Kristensen, who specializes in flower arranging and scenography. Poppykalas use flowers to tell a story, stage a concept, evoke emotion and speak a language without using words. With form, colour, scent and touch, Poppykalas challenges the status quo of aesthetics with a recognizable and extravagant style. 

Poppykalas arranges flowers with inspiration from the classic still-life style, but at the same time tries to challenge the traditional way of arranging flowers by including the Japanese tradition of flower arranging called "ikebana". The interplay between these two techniques in flower arranging is the essence of Poppykalas.
