Sarah was born and raised in Copenhagen, but spent many of her formative years traveling in Central and South America with her father, who worked as a photographer and film director. Over the years they traveled, Sarah became more and more fond of Latin art and cultural heritage. Moreover, the great social contrasts that are prevalent throughout Latin America and elsewhere in the world affected her in many ways that fostered a social outrage that she still uses in her work. Contrasts, edges and the exploration of boundaries both in relation to us as people and in relation to our surroundings are an eternal fascination for Sarah. After receiving her master's degree in Visual Art & Communication from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2003, Sarah has, alongside her photography career, run her successful studio DasRotesRabbit, which encompasses graphic design, branding and visual consultancy. Sarah travels with her work and combines both commercial and personal projects. Her clients vary from international non-profit organizations to the largest publishers in Scandinavia.
