Horezu Ceramics

Filter

In the Romanian town of Horezu lives a family of potters consisting of parents and four children, who have all learned the secret behind the beautiful and traditional craft. Almost magically, the family conjures up clay with their skilled and experienced hands to create the most beautiful dishes and plates.

The Horezu area is known for its characteristic and patterned ceramics, and this also applies to this family's products. The plates are not only useful and practical to have on the shelf in the kitchen, but also fabulously beautifully decorated. In fact, the technique, which is created using a turntable, is so unique that the craft is included as part of UNESCO's World Heritage.
